Major solar power installation completed at Sherwood Wolverhampton

Sherwood Group completes major solar panel project to drive down costs and lead to greater self sufficiency and continuity of supply.

We’re delighted to have completed the installation of a solar power system at Sherwood’s main manufacturing site in Wolverhampton.

As we advised previously, we opted for a 700KWp solar system that will generate all the electricity we need across the site.

MyPower have done a great job and we’re optimistic that there will be a very nice case study appearing in the Energy sector press shortly.

Significant environmental commitment

“This investment is a major step towards our sustainability and our own Net Zero 2035 objectives. In addition it helps us drive down costs long term which will be a major benefit to a long standing and volume customers” said CEO Michael Horan. “And by making us self sufficient in terms of our energy it ensures a continuity of supply and provides an additional measure of insulation to external market forces”.
