Major solar power investment at Sherwood Wolverhampton

Sherwood Group announce key investment in solar power that will drive down costs and lead to greater self sufficiency and continuity of supply.

We’re delighted to finally be installing a solar power system at Sherwood’s main manufacturing site in Wolverhampton this summer.

We’ve opted for a 700KWp solar system and it will generate all the electricity we need across the site.

We’re two weeks in and MyPower are doing a great job.

Significant environmental commitment

“This investment is a major step towards our sustainability and our own Net Zero 2035 objectives. In addition it helps us drive down costs long term which will be a major benefit to a long standing and volume customers” said CEO Michael Horan. “And by making us self sufficient in terms of our energy it ensures a continuity of supply and provides an additional measure of insulation to external market forces”.
